Merry Christmas fellow Riverview residents, 'It's Most Wonderful time of the Year' continues.

Our contest for the best and merriest Christmas decorated house in Riverview is now over and we have a winner, with a number of honourable mentions.

Congratulations to the Aqualinas' at 78 Riverview Drive with their extraordinarily decorated winning house.  They received a $50 gift certificate for the Lucky Penny and a 2021 RCA membership.

 Honourable mentions go out to:

-  37 Riverview Court

-  98 Riverview Circle

-  3 Riverside Place

-  309 Riverview Green

Our thanks to everyone that cast their votes.  We had received 58 votes which is remarkable given the short time we had to set this up.  We've had a lot of positive responses so you can expect  to see this contest again next year so begin planning for your 2021 displays now.

The RCA Board wishes everyone a peaceful Christmas and an improved New Year in 2021. We'll see you all next year.

Although it is That Most Wonderful Time of the Year, covid-19 is continuing to affect our Yuletide activities here in Riverview.    Our Santa Clause activity, initially planned as a parade, became a meet Santa Clause activity at Matt Kroll Park has now been cancelled in its entirety.

The Matt Kroll Park activity was organized prior to the recently announced covid-19 restrictions released by Alberta Health which now do not allow any outdoor gatherings.

A house decorating contest is in the works with details expected early next week.

The RCA Board wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.  Stay healthy and stay safe.

Riverview residents helping with the Helping Hands food drive

Many thanks to the Riverview volunteers who helped out during the August 29 Helping Hands Food Drive.  Our covid precautions make this a more challenging activity than previous years, but the end result was worth it.

We had a great volunteer turnout (some of whom had already left before we took this photograph) and an especially great repose by our residents to the request for food for the food bank.
