We are into November now and Christmas is fast approaching. In previous years we have hosted an adult Meet Your Neighbour Night that was well received ......... so we're hosting another one this year. It's an opportunity to get together and socialize with your neighbours (and a chance to meet new neighbours) before things get really busy.
You don't have to be a RCA member to attend, but only RCA members will be eligible for the draw prizes. New memberships can be taken out and existing memberships renewed that evening. We're meeting at the Sweet Spot, so it really will be a community event

Fall is here, and so is Hallowe'en, so it's time for our annual Hallowe'en contest. The rules are simple, e-mail you nominations to riverviewcommunityassociation@gmail.com and the house with the most submissions will win a $50 gift card to the Sweet Spot at our Cochrane Golf Club.
A reminder that only RCA members are eligible to win.

The end of summer is almost upon us. Not sure you want to hear this in early August, but there's no getting around it. Our lazy long summer days and evening will soon give way to cooler weather ...... and back to school for the kids.
The RCA is hosting our annual Party-in-the-Park to celebrate the end of summer (and soon to be starting classes). There will be a lot of activities, and as always, hot dogs, juice, pop and chips help make the activities more enjoyable
Why don't you bring along a few folding chairs, a sun hat and enjoy the afternoon with your neighbours? Hope to see you there!
Canada Day is almost upon us,and that means school is out (happy kids) and summer is really here. Our annual Min-Golf tournament is a great way to celebrate Canada Day as a family. As always, hot dogs, juice and chips round out the tournament

We're getting closer to Easter, although that might be hard to believe with all of the snow we have. We have our annual Easter Egg Hunt planned for March 28. It's a great family activity that draws a lot of participants.
Important to note that RCA membership fees pay for this activity as well as many others. You need to be a RCA member to register.
Why not join us for a family fundraising walk in February? The Coldest Night of the Year raises funds for local charities. In this case we will be raising funds supporting Helping Hands Society of Cochrane and Area.
The Riverview Community Association had a team enrolled, we're looking for sponsors and welcoming folks that wants to join us on the walk.
It's January, and you may have been spending too much time in the house. This is your chance to get out, visit with your neighbours ...... and renew your RCA membership.
Meet us at the Curling Club's On The Rocks Lounge for some socializing. We have draw prizes and silent auction items that will make the evening a bit more exciting.
We've also taken the opportunity to support The Coldest Night of the Year.

It's winter, it's December, so it is Christmas time. Riverview is always well decorated at Christmas with homes lit up, trees decorated, and more than a few yuletide blow-ups on the front lawns.
Our annual Christmas decorating contest always has a great response, with many homes nominated for the Best of Riverview prize. The winning household must be RCA members, so yet another reason to join the RCA.
It's October, so that means Halloween is getting close. Why not join us in the Halloween decorating contest?
Lots of opportunity to look scary, and there is a prize for the best decorated house. However you have to be a RCA member to win, another reason to join the RCA.
The Cochrane Food Bank annual food drive is underway this month. The Riverview Community Association is helping them confidante theses activities in Riverview.
We'll be visiting every household, canvassing for a food contribution. You can help us by leaving any contrition you are able to make on you front door stoop. Every little bit helps folks.
Summer is closing fast, so it's time for our annual end-of-summer / school-is-starting-soon Party in the Park. We have food, entertainment, bouncy castles, face painting, candy floss and much more. It's an afternoon of fun and munching in the sun. Come and enjoy with your family and friends.
It's summer, it's Canada Day in Riverview, so that means it's time for our annual mini-golf tournament. Hot dogs and juice follow with all sorts of prizes. This activity fills quickly, with many family teams so don't let this slip past you.........fore!

At our November AGM a number of members suggested that a spring adult get-together to meet their neighbours might be an idea worth pursuing.
